Guidelines for Granting Mission Trip Financial Support*

The Missionary Department of PCSEBA- “Power in Truth” welcomes and will consider every request. Assistance may be limited due to availability of funds. Power in Truth assistance is designed to help individuals and teams meet some of their needs and goals (be in financial or not). The Missions Committee of PCSEBA is responsible for administering the budgeted funds used for mission trip support. The purpose of these funds is to assist and encourage our members to go on mission trips.

To request financial support for a mission trip, one must completely filled out the required form and submitted it to the following address: POWER IN TRUTH: Attn: Kucherenko Paul 639 Welland Way, West Sacramento CA 95605. The committee will review the request and recommend a decision to the Missions Committee for approval and communication. Application are encouraged to be submitted as early as possible, so that assistance may be received before the trip (2 months ahead would be helpful).

The following guidelines will be used in making support decisions

Eligibility

  • Current members of PCSEBA Churches.
  • Team members have completed the Missionary Application.
  • Funds must be accompanied by applicant to the projects region.

Priority of Award Consideration

  • Leader that have gone more than 3 times get priority and priority is given to those leaders that have gone the most and thereafter.

Level of Support based on trip status

  • 25-50% Participants recruited for PCSEBA Missions due to unique skills and needs [% funding granted at discretion of Missions Committee].
  • Teams of PCSEBA Missions support is decided within the committee [most requests at this level].
  • 10% Other Mission Opportunities.
  • Please Note: Trip leaders are treated the same as trip participants in request for support.

Reporting Process

Each supported individual will complete a short evaluation of experience on mission field [1 page written request]. Each supported individual should be willing to share their financial experiences with the church.

  • Description of the Mission Project and goal.
  • Relationship of project to PCSEBA priorities.
  • Location of the project [association with ongoing Baptist missionary efforts, old or new work; etc...]
  • Relationship of project to Baptist entities.
  • Nature of the project [What you will be doing, primary area of activity, evangelism, medical, educational, construction, etc.]
  • Degree of innovation involved with the project [is there anything unusual about this project which might not have been done previously on this or other mission fields?]
  • Expense of Mission Project - Total expenses involved for you to participate in this project and requested assistance.

Consideration Given by Committee

The following criteria will be used by the committee in deciding if financial assistance will be provided and the amount.

The Missions Committee of PCSEBA reserves the right to make exceptions to the above criteria in unusual situations.
